London Creative Film Wedding Photography

Alexa & Tom

Ashridge House, just outside London

As a London film wedding photographer who shoots on both film and digital cameras, documenting Alexa & Tom's wedding at the gothic mansion Ashridge House was a dream. After getting ready at home, Alexa headed to the ceremony on the famous staircase at Ashridge to marry her beau Tom. Alexa and Tom embraced my creative vision for their wedding photography, which included a timeless, natural, documentary style along with moments and details captured on my film cameras. I have been having so much fun re-visiting medium format film photography this year and have found having the film cameras with me (both medium format and 35mm) on the day adds to my creativity and is fun too! Living in an instant digital age, it has been refreshing to have the wait whilst the scans come back from the lab, and getting excited to see what we have produced together. The film imagery adds a unique magic to my delivery and I am so excited to shoot more film next year. Huge thanks to Mark for capturing Alexa & Tom's wedding with me and congrats again to A & T who trusted us to capture their celebrations. Even though it rained throughout most of the day, I had planned for this and after their first dance we caught the last of the light to capture natural portraits, which was also the perfect time for A & T to look back at their wedding and take in this most special of days. I also got to work with my long time friend and collaborator Gemma Sutton again, and if you are looking for an incredibly talented award-winning hair and make-up artist, do check out her work.
